Native Son

May Wrap-Up

So May was not my best month for reading or posting. This month I read 5 books:

1. I started out the month reading Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.

Lola and the Boy Next DoorI really enjoyed this book and rated it ***** (5 stars).

3. My third book in May was The One by Kiera Cass

The OneThe One is the third book in the Selection Series, therefore I can not give a synopsis without giving too much away. I will, however, say that I really enjoyed reading this book and I am satisfied with how the series ended.

I gave this book ***** (5 stars)

4. Native Son by Richard Wright was the 4th book I read this month.

Native SonNative Son was a required reading for my English class. I thought it was alright, I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. It had a good story that was intreging and it had interesting messages but it is not a book I would recommend.

I gave Native Son *** (3 stars)

5. The 5th and final book I read in May was Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman

Prisoner of Night and FogI really enjoyed this book and gave it ***** (4.5 stars)

I am really enjoying the story so far but not much has happened so far. I hope things start picking up soon.

I am still reading Native Son for school.

Native SonIt is alright, not amazing but not awful. It is just something I need to get done.

What are you reading?

Have you read any of the books I am reading? What did you think?

Currently Reading #9

I am truly sorry I haven’t posted anything in the longest time but I am back now with what I am currently reading.

For school I am reading Native Son by Richard WrightNative SonIt is very good but I still think I prefer To Kill A Mockingbird a little bit more.

I don’t know what I am going to pick up next for personal reading. I just finished Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight (Both rereads) and I thoroughly enjoyed both of them again.

Throne of Glass series

If you have any recommendations they would be much appreciated.
